A good training mission

Did a good ‘training mission’ last weekend- definitely recommend going into Meg Hut at the south end of the Pisa range. Could be a good place for a checkpoint in our Rogaine coming up on the 14th Nov…

Started snowing about half an hour after we arrived but luckily, Meg Hut was the first DOC hut I’ve been to with tones of dry pine to burn.

Coming out again started with a nice brisk 30min push back up to Tooheys saddle. Once we were off the top the wind slacked off and the riding on fresh dry snow was awesome.
